Cơm hến, a beloved Vietnamese specialty, is a unique and flavorful dish of cold rice with baby clams. The dish is a symphony of textures and temperatures, combining the cool rice and fresh herbs with a variety of toppings.

Ingredients

8 oz baby clams
- 1 tbsp shallots
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tbsp white part of scallions

1 tbsp Red Boat Fish Sauce
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tbsp chicken bouillon
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp MSG
- Dash of black pepper
- Vietnamese coriander
- Rice
Directions
Rinse the clams thoroughly under water.
Mix the seasonings with the clams.
Saute the garlic, shallots, and white onions for 1 min then add in the clams.
Add in the clams and cook the clams for around 4 mins over medium heat.
Add in the Vietnamese coriander and mix for about 1 min.
Serve with rice.
